when flood happens, somepeople would think staying in car is safe, or just permanetly stay in home.

We will show you the step by step plan about how to deal with flood or flash flood.

 

Many people would think at first vehicle is safe place to be in, but NO, the result of that idea

brought tragedies in many years.  People who is looking at this page should get out from the

car when the flood happens, as flood gets stronger and stronger, very high possibility to get

Here is what you should do in 24 hrs.

  • First 24 hrs after the flood to ensure the safety of your home and family and give you the best outcome possible with your insurance company.

 

  • Stay out of flood water, as it can be surprisingly powerful.  Because floodwater is highly contaminated. Also emergency workers can move quickly. And stay out of their way as they work.

 

  • Listening to the radio or TV for news about about what to do, where to go, what places are dangerous, and how to contact the local disaster relief services, such as the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army.

 

  • If there is a fire hydrant near your home, clear away debris so the disaster. If you don’t have phone service, use a cell phone stay in touch with work.

  • If your home has severely damage, turn off your gas electricity if you can safely do so. It’s possible that your power lines and gas lines may have sustained damage also.

 

  • Don’t be in any hurry to go back into your home. There many risks, from floors or ceilings giving way to live wires to das leaks. Don’t go in if the gas and electricity haven’t been turned off, and don’t try to turn them back on your self.

 

First 24 hour is most intenstive time that person will get. But if you react well, you will be able to find youself and your family not getting hurt or injury.

DO NOT FORGET, stay out of flood water.

 

Here is what you should do in 48 hrs.

  • Keep power off until an electrician has inspected your system for safety.

 

  • Boil water for drinking and food preparation until authorities tell you that your water supply is safe.

 

  • Check for structural damage before re-entering your home to avoid being trapped in a building collapse.

 

  • Make a list of damaged or lost items and include their purchase date and value with receipts, and place with the inventory you tool prior to the flood. Some damaged items may require disposal, so keep photographs of these items.

 

  • Be awre of flash flood, It still has possibility to occur in anytime, keep yourself in the little bit of tension so that you can realize the flash flood

 

  • MOVE TO HIGHER PLACE, most important thing, as water goes up to down. Higher place, safer place.

 

48 hour is safe if you moved to higher place and keep yourself in the little bit of tension to aware the flash flood.

 

Here is what you should do in first week, and also rest of the year, because flood usually recover itself from the week, you are avaliable to go into your house.

 

  • Mostly floods are done after the first week of flash flooding or flooding

 

  • Eat well and rest well

 

  • Still it has possiblity to occur again so keep in touch with broadcast or radio

 

  • Listen for local warning and informations

 

  • Clean
